My Kitty went in to be spayed last Wednesday. We brought her home on Thursday evening and she was back in the vets Saturday morning because she was vomiting and in pain.
I called this morning and they said that she still has a fever and is not eating. They have no idea why, she is healing fine but seems to have a hidden infection somewhere even though she has been on anti-biotics since Saturday.
Has anyone else has this experience?

Sat, April 19, 2008 - 3:42 PMawwww Iam sorry to hear this Teresa...that must be very painful to deal with considering you went for a simple procedure...I would have suggested colloidal silver if I had checked in here..it kills alot of pathogens...it sounds like your kitty got infected from the op...Did the vet say anything about that?
I hope in time you will consider getting another furbaby ...Iam sorry you have had this experience..

Sat, May 3, 2008 - 5:57 AMsorry i was late...
fyi: antibiotics did: 0
but if all you ever knew is what you were taught and learned...
i am not calling all vets a total scam
that would be like saying cancer has been cured...
but somebody forgot to tell you
what is in most pet food, no matter how pretty it looks
and/or how good it tastes
is poison

Re: Mystery Infection
Sat, May 3, 2008 - 6:10 AMNo I havent had this experience, i wish someone could have helped. Im no vet, but maybe the antibiotic wasnt killing the bacteria (maybe it wasnt even bacteria), I dont know how many different types of antibiotics they have for animals, I just know with people not all bacteria can be killed with one antibiotic. Im very sorry to hear that she passed. :(

Re: Mystery Infection
Sat, May 3, 2008 - 10:19 AMi am so so sorry that this happened. i know the heartache.... please, do send the vet a note saying you expect your fees back. he/she knows that there was contamination. i know the money won't bring your baby back, and if you don't want it you can just turn the cash over to a kitty rescue organization... but hugs to you..
